Strengthen, Lengthen… Launch! Creating A New Foundation for SLT

Mar 21, 2018

SLT is a premier boutique fitness studio that offers full-body 50-minute workouts. The workout combines low-impact Pilates movements with intense cardio and strength training exercises designed to “Strengthen”, “Lengthen” and “Tone”. Described as “Pilates on steroids”, SLT is consistently recognized as one of the toughest core-focused workouts available to fitness enthusiasts.

Workouts are led by skilled instructors in an energetic environment and take place on a machine called the Megaformer, which uses an arrangement of springs, straps, and pulleys along with body weight to systematically work out the entire body to complete muscle exhaustion. Founded in 2011 by Amanda Freeman, SLT got its start in New York City. Since then, they’ve added numerous studios throughout the East Coast in places like Boston and Philadelphia and are gearing up for future growth.

“As the Marketing Director for a brand that I am quite protective and passionate about, I was on a mission to find us the perfect match. I knew that I wanted to partner with a team who was really going to nurture us not just help us hit our goals and KPI’s…but provide the collaboration and emotional intelligence needed to grow a start-up brand like ours. I wanted to join forces with a team who understood us from the inside out, would move quickly and efficiently but also provide pace and consistency. When I met the Barrel team I knew we found our match. Their talent, patience, sense of humor and dedication to the success of our launch was everything we could ask for and more. All of us at SLT are looking forward to a long and fun partnership!”

When SLT came to us, they were looking for a new website that better expressed the evolution of their brand, captured the energy of the workout, and would set them up to scale with future expansion. Built on WordPress and integrated with MindBody Online, the new website features an easy “Book a Class” flow, robust studio pages, new video content, and instructor profiles. In addition to the website, we’ve also been collaborating with the SLTeam on other brand applications such as window designs for new studios.
